Frequently Asked Questions!

Questions About Growth

1. How can ACR Strategies help us increase our audience?

Audience growth begins with understanding who you are trying to reach, what they need, and what will motivate them to respond. ACR Strategies applies Biblical Growth Solutions™ to help Christian organizations identify the right audiences, communicate in ways that connect with them, and move people from awareness toward meaningful engagement. The goal isn't simply to generate more impressions, clicks, followers, viewers, attendees, or customers. The goal is to build relationships that create lasting engagement and transformation.

2. We already have an audience. Why do we need a growth strategy?

Having an audience doesn't necessarily mean having an engaged audience. BGS helps organizations examine what happens after someone discovers them. Are people watching? Attending? Giving? Buying? Sharing? Returning? Becoming advocates? Most importantly, are people being transformed by the organization and its mission? The opportunity may not be finding more people. It may be helping the people you already reach move deeper into engagement.

3. How can we increase revenue without compromising our Christian mission?

BGS begins with a different question: How can revenue growth serve the mission rather than replace it? When an organization clearly understands its purpose, communicates its value, serves the needs of its audience, and creates meaningful opportunities for people to engage, revenue can become a resource for accomplishing the mission. BGS connects audience growth, revenue growth, and Kingdom impact rather than treating them as separate objectives.

4. Can BGS help us increase revenue from an audience we already have?

Yes. In many cases, significant growth can come from better engaging the audience an organization already reaches. BGS can help identify opportunities involving sponsorships, ticket sales, advertising, streaming, memberships, fundraising, customers, donors, or other revenue sources. The question becomes: Are we maximizing the value of the relationships we have already been given?

5. How do we know whether our marketing is actually working?

Traditional marketing often focuses on lagging metrics such as impressions, clicks, attendance, revenue, or viewership. Those numbers matter—but they tell you what happened. BGS also looks for leading indicators that help answer: What is changing in the people we are trying to reach? This is where Kingdom Performance Indicators™ can complement traditional KPIs. The objective is to measure not only what the organization accomplishes, but also who the audience is becoming because of its influence.

Questions About Biblical Growth Solutions™

6. What is Biblical Growth Solutions™?

Biblical Growth Solutions™ (BGS) is a strategic framework developed by ACR Strategies that applies transformational principles modeled by Jesus to help Christian organizations grow audiences, strengthen engagement, increase revenue, and expand Kingdom impact. BGS brings together five key areas:

  • Transformation — Moving people from where they are today to where God created them to be.

  • Purpose — Connecting people to a mission larger than themselves.

  • Targeting — Identifying and engaging audiences most ready to respond.

  • Motivation — Inspiring action through Hope, Purpose, Identity, Compassion, and Belonging.

  • Kingdom Performance Indicators™ — Measuring leading indicators that can help predict sustainable growth and impact.

7. Is BGS a marketing strategy?

BGS is broader than marketing. Marketing is one of the tools that can help an organization reach people, but BGS begins with transformation. The question isn't simply: "How do we get more people to respond?" It is: "How can we connect with people where they are and help move them toward who God created them to be?" Marketing, messaging, targeting, sales, sponsorships, audience development, and measurement can then support that objective.

8. What makes BGS different from traditional business growth strategies?

Traditional growth strategies often begin with the organization and ask: "What can we sell, promote, or say to get people to respond?" BGS begins with the person and asks: "Who are they, where are they, what do they need, and how can we serve them in a way that moves them toward meaningful transformation?" That shift can change how an organization approaches its audience, messaging, marketing, sales, and measurement.

9. What does transformation have to do with growth?

Transformation is the north star of BGS. When people experience meaningful transformation, they are more likely to become engaged, connected, loyal, generous, and willing to advocate for the organization or mission that helped them. That creates a different view of growth: Transformation is the goal. Growth is the result.

Questions About Biblical Motivation™

10. What is Biblical Motivation™?

Biblical Motivation™ is an approach to communication based on the motivational principles demonstrated by Jesus. Rather than relying primarily on fear, pressure, guilt, or simply promoting features and benefits, Biblical Motivation seeks to connect with people where they actually are and move them toward meaningful action. The Five Pillars are: Hope. Purpose. Identity. Compassion. Belonging. These principles can be applied to advertising, social media, email, text messaging, sales presentations, fundraising, sponsorship proposals, and other forms of communication.

11. Why should Christian organizations change the way they communicate?

People don't respond simply because an organization has a good product, service, ministry, event, team, or message. They respond when something matters to them. Biblical Motivation helps organizations look beyond: "What do we want to say?"

and consider: "What does this person need to hear, and how can our message serve them?" The result is communication designed to create connection rather than simply generate a response.

12. How do the Five Pillars of Biblical Motivation help us grow?

Different people can respond to the same opportunity for different reasons. One person may need Hope. Another may respond to Purpose. Someone else may be motivated by Identity, Compassion, or Belonging. The Five Pillars give Christian organizations multiple ways to communicate the same opportunity while connecting with the motivations of different audiences.

This can help organizations create messages that are more relevant, personal, and meaningful.

13. Does Biblical Motivation mean every message has to sound religious?

No. Biblical Motivation is about how we communicate, not simply about adding Christian words to a message. Jesus consistently met people where they actually were and communicated in ways they could understand. Biblical Motivation applies that principle to modern communication. A Christian organization can communicate authentically and biblically while still speaking clearly to the needs, circumstances, interests, and motivations of its audience.

Questions About Kingdom Impact

14. How can we measure Kingdom Impact?

Kingdom Impact is more difficult to measure than clicks, tickets, viewers, or dollars—but that doesn't mean it should be ignored.

BGS encourages organizations to identify measurable indicators of the change they want to create. Those indicators may include engagement, participation, repeat behavior, advocacy, relationships, giving, service, spiritual development, or other outcomes appropriate to the organization's mission. The important question is: What does transformation look like for the people we serve, and how can we responsibly measure movement toward it?

15. How do we balance revenue goals with Kingdom Impact?

BGS doesn't view revenue and Kingdom Impact as competing objectives. A financially healthy Christian organization has greater capacity to fulfill its mission. At the same time, revenue without mission can lead an organization away from its purpose. BGS seeks to connect the two: Grow the audience. Grow the revenue. Increase the impact. The mission remains the reason for growth—not merely an excuse for it.

16. How can we determine whether our organization is actually making a difference?

Start by defining the transformation you want to see. Ask: "How are the people we serve different because of us?" That question can reveal whether an organization is primarily measuring activity—or measuring meaningful outcomes. BGS helps organizations connect their purpose, audience, messaging, strategies, and measurement around the transformation they want to create.

Questions About Working With ACR Strategies

17. What does ACR Strategies actually do?

ACR Strategies serves as a coach and strategic growth partner for Christian organizations. ACR helps organizations identify growth opportunities, develop strategies, improve messaging, reach the right audiences, strengthen revenue opportunities, and establish meaningful performance indicators. Areas of application can include Christian college athletics, streaming, television, radio, Christian concerts, Christian film, and Christian businesses. The approach is customized to the organization's mission, audience, challenges, and goals.

18. Do we need to completely change our organization to use BGS?

No.

BGS can be applied to an organization's existing mission, products, services, audiences, and strategies. The process begins by understanding what is already working, identifying where growth or impact is being limited, and determining where a BGS approach can create greater alignment between purpose, people, performance, and transformation.

19. Can ACR help if our biggest problem is audience growth rather than revenue?

Yes. Audience growth, revenue growth, and Kingdom Impact are connected. If an organization is struggling to attract an audience, the issue may involve targeting, awareness, messaging, motivation, positioning, or the audience's perceived value. BGS helps identify why people aren't responding before simply recommending that the organization spend more money reaching them.

20. Can ACR help if our biggest problem is revenue?

Yes. ACR can examine the relationship between audience, engagement, value proposition, messaging, sales opportunities, sponsorships, ticket sales, advertising, streaming, or other revenue sources. Rather than asking only: "How can we sell more?"

BGS asks: "How can we create more value for the people we serve—and communicate that value more effectively?"

21. Can ACR help us if our organization has a strong mission but struggles to communicate it?

Absolutely. A powerful mission does not automatically create a powerful message. BGS and Biblical Motivation help translate an organization's mission into communication that connects with the people it is trying to reach. The objective is to move people through a journey: Awareness → Purpose → Motivation → Action → Transformation

22. Is BGS only for large Christian organizations?

No. The principles can be applied to organizations of different sizes and types. A Christian business, church, ministry, media organization, college athletic program, concert promoter, film organization, or streaming platform may have very different audiences and revenue models—but each ultimately faces similar questions: Who are we trying to reach? What do they need?
Why should they care? What action should they take? How will their experience with us make a difference?

The Bigger Question

23. What question should every Christian organization be asking?

Perhaps the most important BGS question is: "How are the people we serve different because of us?" That question moves the conversation beyond impressions, clicks, attendance, revenue, followers, and viewership. It brings the organization back to its purpose. Because ultimately: Transformation is the goal. Growth is the result. Kingdom Impact is the reason.
